Time Travel - Jump out and Jump back in

ok..First of all I would like to thank all my dear readers(Like my dear Allison Pangle from facebook)  for reading my blog and not leaving comments like "stop writing if you don`t know physics"... :) yes..It is true, I am not a physicist and I am glad .Some times it is good to be unaware of the basic rules and facts because that is the only way you can create your own concepts.

We are all moving in this endless space. Our universe is like a snow avalanche dragging it self and every thing in it`s way towards the lowest point it could reach. But what if we can get out of it ..what if we can go and stand on the side lines..watching it moving, dragging every thing apart from our self..as It is moving forward it is leaving the past in front of us...But no there is a difference between avalanche and time.

1. When time moves forward it does not leave any thing behind and it takes all of it with him..Time does not   leave even a single molecule behind.

2. Time does not moves towards the lowest point like avalanche because avalanche is dragged downward by the power of gravity. But universe is moving from central point of bigbang towards the empty parts of the space.

3. It moves direction less in the space. It does not has a physical existence like sound waves. It is just a flow of things.

let me give you an example.

I live in a new house. It is built at the same place my old house existed till 2007.We demolished the old building and then built this new house. Now I miss my old house and only wish to see it again.Hope people like Dr.Kaku could succeed in creation of a time machine and I will once again see my old house. But my friend can do this any time he want .He just drive to the place where his old house is still standing. He can visit his past any time he want.

Now what I want to say is if we use new space and new molecules to build the future, past can exist at the old location in space. But when we used all the material of past in the creation of the future , past lost it`s physical existence and it is now a part of our present.

What we need for time travel :

Get your self out of this universe.Yes do it now if you want to travel in time.Actually it can`t be a travel. It will be like leaving a train and dropping you self at a stable point of space which is out of the effected area of Big-bang.Where molecules does not exist, where there is no force moving you towards the edges of space.Nothing will change around you because there is nothing that exist to change at this place. This is the place where no time exist because there is no flow.

Every thing we know and we see is happening in a very small part of the space. Our universe exist in a very small part of it.Only if you can float out of it ,out of this nonstop movement of molecules and you turn back and take a look where you came from, you will see time traveling in front of your eyes. You can move around it in all the dimensions because there is no physics stopping you from moving .No physical existence-No physics-Nothing to stop you.

Now If you want to travel to your future...take a good look at the flow and chose the point where you want to jump back in the flow.Note that even time in our physical word moves very fast but it is still slow in comparison with the outer space.Nothing can change it`s position in our world unless some other thing leaves the space for the new thing to move in.But it is not the the case in outer space. You can move without waiting for the availability of the empty space.

See you all in next post...bye....  :)

  4. Who said we need to travel.I am saying that we just need to find a way to stop our selves. It will be like jumping off from a train which is already running at a speed of light. And to jump off the train you do not need to get at the trains speed.you already have it.We just need to find a way to jump in to the emptiness and stay still and let the universe do all the travel...

Imagine of a point of stillness. At this point in the blank space there is no movement.our universe which is traveling at the speed of light is coming towards this point and will cross this point. But no matter how much mass our universe have, It can not drag this hollow point with it.The whole universe is flowing around this hollow point. If you are standing on point "A" and I ask you to walk back a few steps to point "B"and then I ask you to walk back to point "A",you can never go back to that exact point "A"marked in the hollow space because as you are walking on Earth,Earth is also walking in Solar system and Solar system is also walking in your universe. So there is to much motion. We need to find a way be apart from this fast movement of universe. You know what is the best thing of jumping off from this train moving at the speed of light....There is no ground to fall on..No scratches at all :)

  5. But why do you want to stay still, like the dead?
If you do what you have proposed, you would go into a state of total nothingness. You cant see, feel, do anything or even think.

But there is one more problem in stepping out of this universe. The problem is that universe is expanding in all directions and at a speed greater than the speed of light. So if you go out, you will have to travel at a speed greater than the speed of the universe. But, if you cant even think, then how would you travel?

Even if you can travel at that incredible speed, whats the point? You went out of the universe to escape all this motion but you ended up being in a state of even greater motion! :)

I think that this is more philosophy than physics. But still, I appreciate the way you think.

  6. Dear Neeladh

As I have already declared that I am not a Physicist.I am just suggesting our scientist Community to develop a Way to make us pause in this moving universe.A way that can neutral the thrust produces by Big-bang or whatever happened at the beginning. The 2nd query you presented is appreciable.Have you ever thought Why the universe is expanding outward and not moving around in Circle like our Earth is moving around the Sun.Because there is no central core to tie the whole universe in it`s gravity. So what happen if every thing is moving away from a hollow core area of the universe. There is a movement and thrust all over the universe but not at this core are. This core area must be in stillness and have no motion from the beginning of the universe. So If you think that if we jump out of the universe it will follow us at the speed of light then you have an option to move towards the core.I think that the time taken in the travel to our present state to this core area is the length and the life span of this time phenomena. And by "jumping out of the universe" I never referred to a State of motionlessness. This motion from which I am suggesting to get out of is the motion of the universe expanding outward. The external motionless hollow space do nothing to make you motionless. It just gives you the choice to move in any way you want, even if you want to move in the opposite way of the universe. One more thing I want to add is that Speed of light is just an overrated value. What exactly do we mean by speed of light-Light is the fastest moving object in our universe and we think this is the best of our knowledge. But there are faster objects not yet discovered.Speed of light is just a biggest unit of speed measurement. It never gives us a promise to take us to the future or past.Even if I give you a rocket which can take you places at the speed of light,Which way will you go.How can we decide that Moving in a particular direction at that speed will take us in future and not in past......Thanks for your queries :)

  7. Good way of thinking, I must say.
As we both are interested in Physics, I have something for you. Let me tell you of what Physics has to say on why anything cannot travel at a speed greater than the speed of light. In my next post, I will discuss how this law of science can be used to travel in time.

The fundamental postulate of the theory of relativity, was that all observers should
measure the same speed of light, no matter how fast they are moving. This simple idea has some remarkable consequences. Perhaps the best known are the equivalence of mass and energy, summed up in Einstein’s famous equation E=mc2 (where E is energy, m is mass, and c is the speed of light), and the law that nothing
may travel faster than the speed of light. Because of the equivalence of energy and mass, the energy which an
object has due to its motion will add to its mass. In other words, it will make it harder to increase its speed. This
effect is only really significant for objects moving at speeds close to the speed of light. For example, at 10
percent of the speed of light an object’s mass is only 0.5 percent more than normal, while at 90 percent of the
speed of light it would be more than twice its normal mass. As an object approaches the speed of light, its mass
rises ever more quickly, so it takes more and more energy to speed it up further. It can in fact never reach the
speed of light, because by then its mass would have become infinite, and by the equivalence of mass and
energy, it would have taken an infinite amount of energy to get it there. For this reason, any normal object is
forever confined by relativity to move at speeds slower than the speed of light. Only light, or other waves that
have no intrinsic mass, can move at the speed of light.

So now we know that anything cannot travel faster than the speed of light.

  8. Lets imagine a train moving very near the speed of light. Now, what would happen if any passenger on the train stands up and begins to run in the train? His speed should add up to the speed of the train and he would be travelling at the speed of light, or may be greater.

But, as you have read that nothing can travel at the speed of light, something extra ordinary happens to protect the passenger from exceeding the speed limit.

The thing is that time begins to flow slower in the train than other parts of the world. Now no matter how fast the man runs, he would never exceed the limit. That means he would take a longer time to cover a distance. As speed is distance divided by time, or s = d/t, so when time becomes greater, speed becomes smaller. And because speed is smaller, he cannot cross the limit.

So, as time begins to flow slower in the train than other parts of the world, 1 minute on the train would mean a day on earth. So if the passengers come out after an hour, 2 months would have passed on earth! This is one way to travel in time. In my next post, I would discuss another way to travel in time.

  9. Einstein proposed that space-time is a fabric. Any piece of matter kept in it creates a depression on it.
For eg. take a piece of cloth, stretch it and place a ball in it. The ball would create a sizable depression. Now if you take a smaller ball and put it in the depression, it would start to move towards the first ball. This is what is believed to cause gravity.

So, now we know that space-time is a fabric. So, any heavy object placed in it creates a depression and warps it. So a heavy object will warp space-time more than a light object. That is why, time would flow slower near a heavy object than a light one. So if you are near a giant star, time flows slower for you than the rest of the world. If you come back, you would find that you went for 1 min and 2 mins have passed on earth.

  11. First of all I would Like to apologize for the mistake of wrong spellings of name....Dear Neelabh :)

Mass as you said is doubled as it increases the speed but do you know what makes it do so.There is no resistance in the hollow space...That`s why the push generated by Big-bang still has an effect on the outward movement of the universe.

I have read and watched Dr.Michio Kaku`s work on the web.But I think as he himself has suggested"We need to question everything"not only the things we don`t know but also the things we know.I am not going to believe Mr.Einstein`s E=MC2 unless I see for my self an object moving in the hollow space at the speed of light and this law stopping It to cross the speed limit of light.I have a Question over you example. You said "take a piece of cloth, stretch it and place a ball in it. The ball would create a sizable depression. Now if you take a smaller ball and put it in the depression, it would start to move towards the first ball. This is what is believed to cause gravity" We all know that It is not the big boll and nor the depression which is moving the smaller ball but it`s the gravity of Earth moving making the small ball move to it`s lowest point in this experiment. There is no physical existence of this time fabric. There is no up-down directions in universe nor a land underneath it creating the actual drag. This experiment only suggest that the gravity creates gravity. That`s illogical...Now we take the train example.Train is moving at the speed of light you said...what is speed.Speed is always relative and you need to have a secondary object to compare it with.Like if the train has a speed of 100 miles per hour then the surroundings are moving back at 100 miles per hour.As said"Equal and opposite reaction".In the Hollow empty vacuum there is nothing that will create an equal and opposite reaction. And when there is no equal and opposite reaction you know what there is no drag...nothing is there to stop you by drag.because you can use 100% of your energy in creating the speed and no 50% energy is vested in the creation of the equal opposite reaction. Now answer me if the universe is expanding from a countless years outward at the speed of light(AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT) then how come we have no equal and opposite reaction of this motion?and where is that Increase in mass making us require more energy to move in space.By this blog I want to make people think out of the physics box and make their own theories...may be we are wrong, may be I am wrong or may be Mr.Einstein was wrong ..but who knows ? Keep posting I`m waiting :)

  12. I think you didn't got my 1st example well. The smaller ball would roll into the depression of the larger ball even if you carry out the experiment in zero gravity.

Now your 2nd ques, why dont we feel the equal and opposite reaction of the outward motion of the universe. My answer is that it is because we are CONTAINED in the universe. For eg. a traveler in a bus wont feel any equal and opposite reaction of the motion of the bus.

But the outward motion of the universe has some consequences - It makes the galaxies move away from each other!

In your post, you said "question everything". I think that yes, we SHOULD question everything but if we find that our picture of the universe is true, then whats the point in questioning it again and again? Einstein's theory has been tested countless number of times and they all suggest that it is true. I suggest that if a theory has been tested so many times and has been proven correct, we should start to build up on it. We should try to find that how can we use it to improve our picture of the elegant universe.

P.S. I read your blog "Time travel the real problem" and found your concept of time very interesting. Who knows that your ideas may form the backbone of time travel someday.
